A Surprise Proposal at the Sultry Safari
In October 2025, we received a message that immediately made us smile.
A guest reached out asking if we could help him create an unforgettable proposal at Sultry Safari.
If you've spent any time around us, you know we can't resist a good love story.
After all, that's exactly why UpCountree Cabins exists.
Over the next several weeks, we exchanged messages, shared ideas, and helped him plan every detail.
We talked about the property.
The layout.
The best locations.
The timing.
We even helped coordinate a secret location where a photographer could arrive early, park discreetly, and stay hidden until the big moment.
Together, we planned the perfect time of day, right as the golden light began filtering through the trees and the East Texas sunset started putting on its evening show.
And then the day finally arrived.
As the sun slowly dipped toward the horizon, the couple made their way down the pebble walkway lined with blooming azaleas.
Step by step, they approached the grand staircase leading up to Sultry Safari, tucked peacefully among the trees.
And right there, in front of the safari cabin, surrounded by nature and bathed in golden light, he asked the question.
She said yes.
The photographer captured every second.
The surprise.
The tears.
The laughter.
The joy.
Everything.
Afterward, they climbed the steps and discovered that the celebration was just beginning.
Inside, rose petals were scattered throughout the cabin.
Electric candles glowed softly in the bedroom and bathroom.
Sparkling bubbly was waiting.
A bath bomb sat beside the tub.
Every detail had been prepared to help them celebrate the beginning of their next chapter together.
Later, we received the sweetest message.
She had been completely surprised.
And the experience was even more beautiful than she could have imagined.
To this day, it's one of our favorite proposal stories.
Not because it was elaborate.
Not because it was perfect.
But because it was personal.
And that's what makes moments memorable.
